before you comment on that you better have done it or you have no clue how hard it is specially on that stage. that show was huge like a UFC show even bigger they had all kinds of acts and just craziness going on. I assume for the TV. there is only 8 stations in russia I am told and it showed on 3 of them, lol
I have no doubt. It takes a real desire to even get started with competing on a real level. I only do inter-school tournaments with my dojang. And only that mostly because it's a fundraiser. I don't have any desire to compete. I train more for the exercise and have some ability to defend myself and family. The inter-school tournaments are plenty for me to test myself a little and grow from there. Other than that I have one of the best masters (and the best Grandmaster) in Taekwondo and they are great and helping me improve at a realistic pace for me and my goals.

I completely understand him not wanting to compete anymore.

I caught some of the twitter barrage. Sefo has always to me seemed to be a fairly classless and clueless individual to be running a MMA promotion. Just my opinion. Tries to hard to be one of the boys, and thats not the perspective you need to have to advance your business...again opinions..everyones got em:) To even get into a Twitter exchange with one of your fighters is just stupid.

Your boy has been in the game a long time. Over a decade or so I am guessing. He has every right to call his own fights if his contract allows him too. Comes with some risk, but fighters don't have alot of shelf life and money talks. I completely understand from the business perspective the decision. Russian fights don't pay bad compared to U.S. shows. I have friends that fight, and have fought, in Asia and make a good living doing it.

I haven't competed in MMA professionally, but I am in a profession that demands a tremendous amount of preparation, mental fortitude, and a constant state of training. And it takes its toll on you over a period of time to constantly reach that benchmark you set for yourself that allows you to function on that level. It may be time for him to step back, and evaluate if he has that desire and ability to prepare. Either way, mad respect to him for hooking and jabbing as long as he has.

Lol your so dead on bro other than you prob have a lot more stress keeping your game tight than a fighter.
We talked a lil today and WSOF just dropped the whole HW division. Funny cuz they partnered with a buddy of mine that owns the big local promotion around here. They want Dave to fight here dec waiting on opp and see if he's head is in it. I don't think it is I think at this point he's milking for the cash kinda shitty but his world he has to live in it
