Ive been reading up on it over night I might have to stop into taco bell because it shattered my childhood when they closed in australia. other than that the local food sounds awesome.Originally posted by THE BOUNCER View PostHave fun homey, be sure to snap some pics.
Any "fast food" you can get in Hawaii you can also get in the land down under. Mcdonalds and shit like that. Go for the Hawaii experience bro, not the 'american one'. Gotta remember how far from the mainland it really is. It's a bit like going to Bermuda and expecting the 'British Experience'.. There will be similarities because of the history between the 2 but the mainland is very different in terms of culture, food, and a general way of life.
Most likely going to keep Honolulu for the last 2 days for shopping etc but spend most time on maui and volcano island.

im going to have a cheat day on xmas day but that will still be relatively clean roasts etc.Originally posted by THE BOUNCER View PostFuck Yea bro, people can say what they want about taco bell but I love that garbage occasionally on a cheat day. You gotta try the dorito tacos!
then im going to wait it out until i touchdown in hawaii and just demolish taco bell.
on a side note I was once all for cheat meals but i dont see the value other than for the mind now having gone this long without them. might keep it going break diet only for special occasions a few times a year.

There are some things to see in Oahu, don't let Scrum fool you. ;)
You need to see Nuuanu Pali Lookout. Oahu has some very pretty landscaping and views (as does all the islands).
If you want to snorkel, Hanauma Bay is the place to do that. It's really neat and the fish are basically "trained" by all the humans feeding them - plus it's pretty.
Le’ahi Diamond Head State Monument - well, because it's Diamond Head and that's what the island is most well known for.
Dole Plantation - yes, it's a touristy thing to do, but you're a tourist and it's the best damn pineapple. Make sure you get a Dole whip!
Polynesian Cultural Center - also touristy, but also a good depiction of the culture. They do luau's and hula dancing and all the stuff you associate Hawaii with.
Banzai Pipeline - North Shore - you don't have to surf, but it is cool to watch them surf and see how big some of those waves get.
Then of course there's stuff like Waikiki Beach, which is FAR from one of the nicest beaches, but it's a Hawaiian landmark so everyone goes. I think you're going to have a blast!

Thanks FB!
I'll definitely add them to the list. I'm picking up a guide book tomorrow and am going to start planning it all out with the decision maker who in the end has the final say haha
I heard you can swim with turtles if you are lucky at Diamond Head. If that happens trip will be worth it regardless of what else happens
