That's most of downtown. The rest is part of the city as well but they are residential neighborhoods. Yeah, Manhattan it isn't, lol..

Was in Washington DC with my son a couple of weeks ago and spent an afternoon at the NASM... what a great place!

Brings back memories. Growing up in South Jersey we used to have school field trips to DC. Iv'e been to that museum probably 5 times. Looks exactly the way I remember it. Not sure if that's a good thing or not. Do you know of any recent additions? I'd like to see some of the SpaceX prototype stuff in there.

Not sure... the last time I was there was in 1991, so there are a lot of new things compared to then. I really liked the Gossamer Albatross, etc. It was amazing to see how flimsy it was - pretty much looked like a box kite that a kid would fly at the beach.

Wasn't the Smithsonian in DC one of the places picked for the final resting home of the last set of space shuttles? Did you see it?

No, I don't think it is here. One of them is in New York in the Intrepid Museum. I did get to see it there a couple of years ago. Not sure where the final shuttles went.
