Porsche without a second thought. The new zo6 has been having serious issues. Overheating quickly, blown engines during break in and it's a Chevy... I used to love Chevy until I opened my eyes that they make plastic junk boxes. Speed isn't everything.

Lol so how about these porsche engines that catches on fire without a reason? Porsche went and replaced every singe one of the GT3 engines.
So Z06 had a few engines that failed. Still beats the 100%.

Doesn't change my opinion. My wife's ignition switched off on her while driving her Cobalt which could have gotten her killed if she wasn't in a drive through before the recall parts were available.
Less than a year later her fuel pump started leaking gas all over the place which was also part of another recall that they refused to cover because it wasn't in one of the "dry" states where it typically occurs.
I can't in good conscious put me or my family in cars that are made so carelessly or stand to be treated the way we are when service needs done.
This is a tough one for me. On the one hand I love the German ideal. I relate to it. They do things in a precise and focused manner. No room for bullshit. Everything is black & white with no room for the gray area. The Germans just do it right and god dammit they do it properly. The Porsche is a bad ass precision instrument but it's humble. It has a quite confidence about it.
On the other hand the Z06 is straight up pure sex. It's pure passion and yet it's very capable. A true Ferrari killer in terms of track capability and aggressive sex appeal. This car brings out the kind of passion that a ferrari is supposed to make you feel. It does it better and it does it at a much lower price point.
My brain says go for the 911, my heart says go for the Z06..
Which would I pick? I'd probably follow my brain. I feel the 911 would be the better daily driver and all around better car. That said, I'd always wonder if I made the right choice..
P.S. Chuck you have some valid points but let me just point out that you can't judge the Z06 based on your experience with a fucken cobalt. It's like judging a Ferrari 458 based on your experience with a fiat 500. They have very little in common other than a parent company.
P.S.S. Scrum, in no way, shape, or form did your colleague overpay for anything. You simply cannot lose with either option.
