    I would imagine this would be super popular in places like Seattle during the winter.

    I bet you the first place we see this technology is the cruise industry. If anyone has ever stayed in a windowless cabin on a cruise ship... it's horrible.

      My first thought was also, Seattle.


      lol @ the cruise cabin. Some people feel very claustrophobic in those tiny rooms without a window. I've found that if I have a porthole or a window, I don't use it anyway. Same with a balcony, I don't sit on it. HOWEVER, where you are cruising makes a huge difference.

        just the natural light in the room gives you some sense of day or night. would be cool for them to implement this tech and time its light cycle with the real time outside.
