Yea it's insane the speed they change the wheels today. Blink and you miss it.

Do wish they'd bring back fuel during pit stops though.

Sure beats whacking away at the wheel with hammers.

Btw, blm or anyone else, please see the movie Rush. You don't have to be a fan of Formula 1 to enjoy this movie. One of Ron Howard's greatest films.

The guy who plays Niki Lauda nails it and is my absolute favorite character of any movie ever. I love the way he views life, the focused determination, the power of the mind to overcome any obstacle. One of the most inspiring characters ever IMO.

I don't idolize anyone but if I was likely to it would be Niki. He is the very definition of black & white. No bullshit.

This scene gives me chills like no other. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11p_KvPySzo

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Did they have a limit on how many people are allowed to work on the car at the pit stop? The new video has about 4 times as many people at the pit stop.

Yea there were limits. Same in Le Mans. Only one side of the car can be change at a time.

The video said, only 4 crew allowed in the pit, back in the day.

Didn't catch that. I was watching it at work without audio.

Yeah average F1 pit stop these day is around 2.5 seconds. If they have 3.2 second stop it's considered slow and it might even cost them a track position.
