yea but that was so long ago that modern people have a hard time relating to those images. This 1950's image was recent enough that it can effect us in a more personal way. I can't relate to people drudging through rivers to find gold. Packing up a truck and moving however I can! The sense of hope and the unknown.

Getting a new home is exiting and such a personal thing. When we bought our first house 5 years ago, it was one of the most exciting things.

Now we are planning 3 years down the road when my wife graduates from grad school and looking at dream homes. Really still feels like a dream even though it will become real.
