So the place I'm moving into has that google nest digital thermostat bs that you control with your phone. Kinda neat but here's the thing.. They add $20 every month to your rent called "nest fee". Technology is all well and good but this just seems like they are nickel and diming with a "mandatory fee" that should be free IMO. Feels like they are passing the cost onto the tenant for the upgrade that isn't necessary by any means. Pisses me off cause I'm trying to save every penny and now I'm paying a fucken fee that would be zero with a normal old fashioned fucken thermostat. [emoji35]

Most are going that way for several reasons and I'm sure money is a huge factor. But I agree, totally sucks and I don't agree with that either. -
Wtf? Not like the nest has a monthly cost. It is a one time investment of like $200 and if anything it is cheaper due to more efficient energy savings. They are bending you over and fucking your ass.Comment
