I see your point but it's personal preference. If I ever moved to California it certainly wouldn't be LA.

He's on a budget and that bit of money, can go a long way. Sacramento would be the last place I'd pick though if I moved to CA.

I've done the big city thing. NYC and Chicago. I'm actually looking forward to a bit more of a peaceful area. Calmer way of life might do me some good. Blue skies, palm trees, warm weather and mountains will be a whole new environment for me. If its a bit too peaceful and quiet for my liking I can always move closer to the big cities of San Fran or LA later down the road. That will be a much easier and less expensive move compared to this current 2100 mile move.

Made it to Nebraska. Just outside of Omaha.

Got up this morning, packed the uhaul in about 4 hours then hit the road for 8 hours. Lived of beef jerky, fiber one bars and water today. Poor fella. [emoji14]

What are you doing parked on a 2-lane road in the middle of the cornfields?

Western Nebraska is beautiful, the Ogalalla aquifer area. Lots of rolling hills... I camped there on my own road trip from Illinois to the Bay area in the summer of 1988.

Holy shit, Bouncer is following in my footsteps 27 years later!

Amazed at how cheap the states is. You would pay $1k a week minimum for a place like that in most cities over here.
