            • Saw my first Cali wildfire.

Flames about 6 foot high covering the area of about a football field and growing quick. I was about 100 yards away. And I can't explain how insane the sound of the dry grass and wood burning was. It was like a mix of a roar from a train and a million rattles being shook. The sound scared me more then anything else.

Within 5 minutes there was a line of helicopters pouring shit on it and it was put out within 10-15 minutes. Good to see how fast the response time was.

              • Pretty much do my cardio outside now. Everyday is beautiful and with so many great parks in the area why not.

Can't see in pic but they were about to go over some rapids.

                  • One major difference I've noticed from back home is the comfort level of the temperature at night. In Chicago or Jersey you can almost never sleep with your windows open because the humidity level in summer makes it so uncomfortable. Here though, the humidity level is so low that as soon as the sun goes down it drops from 100 degrees down to 65 degrees in a matter of hours. I'm using much less AC out here then I was in Chicago. Never realised how much worse humidity makes everything feel. The air out here is so easy to breath! I sweat half as much out here even though the temp is higher. Back home I'd leave the gym soaking wet, I mean absolutely soaked. Here the sweat level is 75% less in the gym doing the same workout.

You Florida peeps used to that extreme humidity would feel like your on a different planet out here. Its way easier to workout here. (Comfort level and breathing). Cali peeps would drop dead working out back east in summer.

I wouldn't trade Cali weather for anything. We do have the best weather on the planet IMO. However, I do fear I may quickly become a fair weather faggot.

That sun is hot as a bitch though. Took my dog to park yesterday for about 2 hours. Takes about a mile to get to the water where he likes to play. On the way back the ground got so hot he was crying and limping as he walked. Long story short... I carried a 75lb boxer for a mile in 100 degree heat. Now that is cardio! He rewarded me with face licks the whole way.

                    • Yeah cool nights are the benefits of desert weather. There will be nights that you will need to be under some light sheets because it gets cool enough.

Also agreed about the sun heat levels. We don't normally realize how hot it is because we live in an air conditioned environment until you step out for a bit.

And ain't nothing wrong with becoming a fair weather faggot.

Haha... I remember the first time I visited Houston. It was April, I stepped off the plane and it felt like I was breathing liquid lol..

                        • I would think southern cali has the best weather. 75 almost all year long is my kind of weather.

                          • Worst thing about Cali.. Ants! Guess because it's so nice year round the winter never kills anything off. If you leave a dirty plate in the sink over night you will be greeted by an army of ants in the morning. Gotta keep kitchen spotless at all times for sure.

Your thinking of 75 as it feels in Pennsylvania though. 75 with 5% humidity is cold bro trust me, you would never get in a pool or ocean at that temp in Cali. It was 90 here yesterday but the air is so light with literally 3% humidity that I never had to turn the AC on. Fucken nuts. In Chicago you ALWAYS have AC on above 80 degrees because it's always accompanied by humidity. In Cali 80 feels like 60 does back home.

                              • I've been to San Diego before and loved the temperature. It's perfect for me. I'm always hot, especially on cycle. I get what your saying about the humidity but love the cooler mornings/evenings and warm during the day.
