        • Oleander (Nerium). Very pretty and comes in lots of colors - pink, red, white... It's a pretty common flowering shrub in tropical and subtropical climates.

Be careful, the milky sap is poisonous, maybe not to humans but definitely to pets.

            • Yeah, that's another possibility, coming to think of it. I can't tell from the photo. But it is one of the two.

              • Another thing I've noticed. Where the hell are all the bugs!?!? Back east if you leave your windows or screen door open in the summer you have mosquitoes and flies flying all over your house. there is none of that out here. i guess bugs thrive in humidity or something?

the only wildlife i see outside are little chameleons running around on the trees, blueish dragon flies, praying mantis, and these turkey sized birds that are really fast on their feet and make this weird ass prehistoric sounds. it's like a different fucken planet. lol. everything is different.

Yep, Crepe Myrtle. We have lots of them here. They are like more "bushy" looking than an Oleander. Both pretty and colorful!

Yeah you can drive couple of hundred miles and you'll have like five bugs in your windshield.
