Visiting with my 10 yo son.... hope to catch a few sights and take him to the museums!

Man, it's hot and humid though... After 25 years in Oregon, I can handle this crap any more lol..

Iv'e had Ethiopian. That bread is a bit strange no? Has little pores in it. Kind of taste like sour dough right?

Did you have the honey beer? Taste like piss. lol.

I'm glad I tried it all but I can't say that I loved it.

The njera bread is so-so. I like the taste but the texture is too rubbery. i thnik the Llebanese perfected the bread - can't top the pita bread in Lebanese cooking. The sauces were excellent in Ethiopian though.

Had an event there where I got invited as a guest. Went in, had a chance to meet and talk to the 2nd lady (lovely and charming lady), had some ice cream by their backyard pool. Pretty surreal.

Indeed. My son was a finalist in a competition and he was invited to meet Dr. Jill Biden, the Veep's wife. I was just his accompanying guest. :)
