Nine murders and nearly 30 shootings over the weekend brought Baltimore's monthly homicide toll to its highest point in more than 15 years

The Memorial Day weekend was also a bloody one in Chicago, where at least 12 people were killed and 44 were wounded in gun violence from Friday night to Tuesday morning.

The weekend's wounded include Jacele Johnson, 4, shot in the head Friday evening as she sat in a car on the South Side with a 17-year-old cousin, who was shot in the chest. On the city's West Side, a 17-year-old boy was shot in the back and the leg.

About two hours earlier, a 19-year-old man was gunned down two blocks from Chicago Police Headquarters, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

Not about the news...its about the people( attitude and culture)...why arent they protesting it...??? because they dont care..they accept it.( its life in the hood).but if its a cop or a person of a different color..then its not acceptable.....that bro....is whats wrong here.. they cant get anything out of it...so they dont bother and accept.

But like already mentioned these are everyday happenings in the world, so they are not going to report it cause it will not stir up controversy for them to dispute on their channel and go back and forth. BALTIMORE (WJZ) — An 8-year-old boy and another 31-year-old woman were shot in the head in Baltimore city Thursday morning.

Officers were called to the 100 block of Upmanor Rd for a report of a shooting around 8:19 a.m.

When they arrived they found the woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Then police found a second victim — the boy — with a gunshot wound to his head.

Both were pronounced dead on the scene.

Homicide Detectives are investigating and asking anyone with information to call 410 396 2100.
