Preordered. Can't wait to wait in line for that beauty, I love rotary dials. I trust Apple with whatever decision they make...

Any love on the new 6s? I've contemplated giving it a trial run. I think everyone that I communicate with, minus 2-3 people, use an iphone. imessage makes sending pics and videos a breeze. Just feels a bit like a prison, not to mention the $900 price....this isn't 2007.

I do love my google services, even if they use my info for profit. Apple login is crazy. Forgot my password and requested email, never received email, can't answer the security questions that I setup years ago, so Apple said make a new id.....

If I was going to switch back to Apple it would be for the 7 not the 6s

I have a 6, so I'm not even remotely tempted by a 6s. As much as I love Apple products, their price tags are getting out of control.

I will say I like their new iphone every year plan through apple directly. For pretty much the same price you get through the carriers you get an unlocked iphone every year, turning in the old one and it includes apple care. Great deal really. Keeps your phone bill low since you're not financing it through the carrier. Basically pay base 32$ a month indefinitely and get a new phone every year that is covered for breakage etc. I imagine iTunes gift cards could go toward monthly payments as well.

I wish other manufacturers would do something like this. No carrier markups on phones. Refurbished phones if need be would be directly through the manufacturer covered by them. No need to be tied to a carrier for contract. Lots of benefits.

So then who do you use for your service?

Whomever you choose. Phone itself is handled through apple, service is your choice.

I haven't been under contract since 2012. I buy gently used and switch phones frequently. The Apple lease program is a way for them to slap the faces of the carriers. It is basically the same as the carrier plans, but they are adding applecare to it and charging a few more bucks.

Apple needs to be brought down to reality and start their 16g phone at around $399 instead of $649. I keep thinking about jumping into the Apple world just because everyone I know uses an iphone.

Many android manufacturers sell directly to the consumer, they just don't have to offer financing since the phones cost 1/2 as much as iphone.

And that $32 price is for the 6s 16g.....16g is laughable in 2015. 4k video takes up about 1 gig per minute. Those new live photos will also take up more storage.

I wish the iphone screen was improved this year.

Just like Nexus. I buy my phone direct from Google and I can pick which carrier I want. That's why it was so simple for me to switch from att to sprint. Nexus 5 was $350 though so I bought it outright. I don't like the idea of a $650 phone and I don't like idea of monthly payments on it either so it doesn't appeal to me.

Yep. My Nexus should be back to me Wednesday, I'm sure that I will forget all about the new iphone when it returns.

The iphone plus also bothers me with the huge bezels. That 5.5" screen could be condensed down into a small body. At least my nexus is huge and has a 6" screen.
