Very backwards people.

I know it sounds incredibly racist and ignorant but I do question sometimes countries like Africa and India that in many aspects are not even up to Ancient Rome or Ancient Greece standards. Is there something in their brains that is less then ours? Surely they cant have the same exact brains as ours right? IF they do why are they so far behind? Why have we achieved so much more? Why is our thinking so superior to these countries?

Obviously there are exceptions to the rule. I'm aware there are brilliant Indians and Africans in this world. But as a whole race, something has to be very different. There has to be a reason that we are so far ahead in "enlightenment" while other races are still chucking spears or tossing acid on womens faces.

But seriously, that's messed up. India is pretty backward in terms of women's rights. That's a real problem that the country is unwilling or unable to confront honestly. I am a bit of an expert on India, in case anyone didn't know. :)

BTW, you ask one question - how can they do it? Are their brains different from ours? I can guarantee one thing... absolutely, guarantee it. People in India are opening their newspapers, reading their forums or whatever and scratching their heads and wondering - "Wow, another gunman shoots a bunch of people in America...we haven't had a shooting in living memory like this. What is wrong with this country that claims to be the most advanced in the world? Are American brains wired differently form ours that prompts them to do this? Any why are they as a poeple unable to put commonsense gun control legislation that prevents crazy people from getting guns?"

Again, not defending India, but we Americans look pretty messed up in the eyes of the rest of the world. We have our own demons that we are unable or unwilling to confront in an honest way. I know this first hand.

^haha.. not my intention at all! I don't disagree with what Bouncer said. It's just that every country has skeletons in its cupboard, or at the very least, deficiencies. As a people, our greatest strength needs to be the ability honestly look at our faults and fix them. And as Americans, we have been hugely incapable of doing this, as have the Indians in their case regarding their treatmnet of large segments of their society.

I don't understand why they couldn't terminate it very early on when there is no semblence of a human being but 24 weeks? That's no fetus that's a viable baby
