  • Planned Parenthood Debate

This whole Planned Parenthood argument is out of hand. I want to pull my hair out listening to some of the things people say/think. :panic:

You don't have to be a fan of Senator Elizabeth Warren, or even pro choice, but after watching her speech I wanted to stand up and applaud! :thankyou:

It's crazy. Certain topics I choose not to get involved; religion, politics and parenthood. It's quite difficult to find someone who has the same beliefs or moral values, otherwise debating would be much easier and not so tensed. I honestly have been trying not to listen to it, but it's plastered just about everywhere.

I really avoid discussion most of the time as well, but this really has me outraged. People don't educate themselves before they run their mouths. OMG PLANNED PARENTHOOD = ABORTION! And that's just so, so far from the truth. Women's health is important. Not just for people who can afford the best healthcare.

I agree womens health is very important....what I dont like is people using the system for birthcontrol on the taxpayers dollar...self responsibilty/ protection is key.

I'd still rather help fund their birth control instead of all their kids for the next 18 years.

And you expect self responsibility out of kids who WILL have sex regardless and dont give 2 fucks about being responsible.

Would you rather them have kids and pollute the world with more of their garbage kids?

Wait, are you talking about abortions? I'm talking about Planned Parenthood as a whole - which is much, much more than abortions. They provide so many other very necessary things - birth control, Pap smears, cancer screening, counseling and education. Abortions are a tiny percentage of what PP actually does, and that's why it pisses me off that people are so close minded and don't research without spouting off nonsense (not meaning YOU, Ripper!)!

Yeah, not a fan of that either - BUT, the government doesn't fund abortions, so :thumb:
