The drugs will still be sold at CVS/pharmacy stores, but customers who carry prescription benefit insurance with CVS/Caremark will no longer receive coverage for them.

CVS is a retail pharmacy but also owns a PBM business. Prescription benefits managers are hired by insurance companies to try and get you to take the best drug for the least amount of money. They article is just stupid. Caremark is just taking those meds off the formulary list. Happens everyday with every PBM. A mix of poor journalism and clickbait.

It's more about then no longer covering a lot of brand names but the generics for those are still covered.

One of those on the list says including generics which is pretty messed up to do to people but yeah for the most part generics should still work.

Generics or therapeutic similar drugs will still be available. Caremark wants you on the cheapest and safest option.
