When I saw a suitcase opened with a big led readout that looks like a countdown timer and unkempt circuitboard it screamed die hard with a vengeance to me. Only takes a second to see what it really is but most people are not that observant and oh shit factor probably kicked in from too much movie watching.

I also don't see a DIY clock kit. Looks like a factory board with some additions.

Troll job from father and son. Putting it in AA briefcase? Give me a fucking break.

Anyone with the most basic knowledge of electronics would know in a couple of seconds that it is not a bomb. The English teacher got worried, I get that. But the technology teacher could have told everyone it's fine but that didn't happen. Regardless, if anyone thought it was a bomb, they didn't call the bomb squad or evacuate the school.

No, no... It is clear what was happening. Everyone decided to bring the hammer down on this Muslim kid with a funny name. I can guarantee this would not have happened to little Stevie or Susie.

And to top it off, that's not even a suitcase, for crying out loud. It is a pencil box the size of an iPad mini. :retard:

Sorry I'm just saying what it looks like to me, a movie prop bomb. In our security training they tell us basic shit to look for and if I saw that I'd call the cops. Whether they sent the bomb squad or not it is on the police. I don't care who brought the thing in. If it was a science fair or science project etc they should have been smarter about it but schools don't fuck around with any remote possibilities of harm to other kids anymore. I think this is being made a bigger deal than it really is. No further action is being made toward the student. If we were talking about them expelling him or the police beating him up, or searching his parents home then we'd have a problem. I don't see how this is anti science or anything other than an over reaction that nothing came out of.

I'm just saying there is no need to get all emotional and jump to the racist card when it may not be the case. Might be but might not be as well and people throw that out too much these days and it dilutes the true meaning of racism.

It may not be a case of racism, as in discrimination, but it is a sad display of ignorance, stupidity, bigotry and xenophobia. On display for the whole world to see.

That's a strawman. You could say that about anything. Point is, nobody used common sense here. Spend the 5 minutes it takes to make sure it is what he claims it is, commend him for his work and move on. Not clap him in irons and put him on the rack.

Disagree bro, it looks like it could be a bomb. He knew what he was doing.

I'm blown away by some of the responses here.

Yes guys, it was all planned to look like a bomb and they knew the kid would then get invited to the white house, nasa, facebook and so on. Was all in the plan. Where do you retards get your news?

If by some very very small chance you dipshits are correct and it was a plan to cause tension against the Muslims, it completely backfired in their face. The kid and his family are being treated probably better then ever before.

Truth is.. it could be mistaken for a bomb easily. the truth also is this state of fear we now live in has been brought on by muslim radicals. truth is..people over react because they dont know how to handle a situation because they are afraid...afraid of making a decision...because in todays world most wont accept responsibility for their actions..they are too worried about covering their own ass... so the truth is.....evryone is right on both sides of this...and the muslim radicals are winning..because they have forced us to change how we live our lives thru their terror.. and this is caused by weak political leaders allowing them to win... the truth is..the truth fucking hurts....and thats my opnion..so fuck it!
