We'll see how it plays out when our troops run into him in a few years.

Lol. Just trying to fire scrum up. The kid is appears to be a genius saint to him at this point.I don't know nearly as much about the entire thing as others in this thread do but personally I don't see what he did as brilliant. He took apart a clock and transplanted to internal workings into another box. I'm more impressed by my 4 year old putting together intricate Lego projects.

I made that point earlier in the thread. I don't think the kid is a genius, but based on what he did and what his classmates said about him, he seems to be a smart and curious kid with an aptitude for making things. Which is more than can be said for the rest of the turds in that school and the town.Originally posted by Bouncer View PostI don't think scrum thinks the kid is a genius. I think he is more disappointed with the response of a school who is supposed to encourage enthusiasm and excitement towards engineering and science.
Look, I don't know what is going through the minds of the parents here. In all likelihood they are simple folk and are being manipulated. They probably don't have much money and maybe went for the scholarship and whatever else Qatar dangled in front of them. But that never happens here in the US, right? :retard:
I'm done with this thread. I am not "supporting them even if the kid has an RPG" or whatever. But the whole situation makes me shake my head. Americans don't have a freaking clue of what our place in the world is and how the rest of the world views us. The "I knew they were up to no good, they are moving to the Middle East" crowd are symptomatic of everything that is wrong with our country. And it is a tragedy that the entire narrative is being dictated by them rather than those who would have the immensely benevolent America, the one that everyone can look up to instead of despising, be what is presented to everyone else in the world.

At least do some research.
The parents are not simple folk being manipulated. The father has been manipulating the entire situation from the beginning.

Dad is a political figure with political ties. Google his name for info. He is a big proponent of islamaphobia.
Sister wispering answers to clock kid in his conversation with mark Cuban.
The family not signing the waiver so that the school can tell the other side of the story. Every story has 3 sides, mainstream media gave you one side to this story.

if that's true it's not surprising to me. like i said, when something feels wrong it usually is. it's ashame because that kids has a great opportunity here to take advantage of this rare opportunity and use his time in the light to reach out to any school in the US of his choice and sort of get his foot in the door.
instead he's probably going to throw it away under the influence of his father.
