My father in law has land around eagles mere. I believe that is Sullivan or very close.

My grandparents had a cabin in Sullivan county. They just sold it 2 years ago. We would go there all the time as kids. That's also where I learned to hunt with my dad and grandfather. Awesome memories there. It's about 3 hours north of where I live.

Beautiful up there. My Uncle has land up there and I too have been fishing and hunting up there since I was a kid. Thats how I knew of the area. The town of Dushore is the closest town to his place and will likely be the closest to mine as well if I get land where I am hoping. The fracking thing is screwing up land prices which is pissing me off. Now you have to deal with getting loand with or without mineral rights and the substantial price increase due to people making money from natural gas from their properties.
I am also familiar with Eagles Mere. Some beautiful bed & breakfast places there. Thats about 45 mins from where I am looking. I hope to be right on the border of Sullivan and Bradford Counties. Which side isnt that important to me but thats the general area. I have ny eye on some property just under 6 acres across from a lake with lake rights but again we will see because the mineral rights issue is arising and I haven't seen the spot in some time. I know they are pumping natural gas up there now so I want to see the impact. It may change my mind all together, we will see.

I agree. When I was younger I dreamed of a huge house, now that I am older I have realized that I don't like wasted space and expensive bills.

It is appealing to think about living life and not having your housing expenses dictate or limit so much what you are capable of doing. Think about reducing that expense by 2/3's + and imagine what that could enable you to do. Thats a very appealing thought to me.

Traveling is much more important to me than houses and vehicles.
