    Reminds me of the gun thread debate. We all see the same shit and take completely different meanings from it.

    Giving the same information to multiple scientific teams can lead to very different conclusions, a report published today in Nature shows. And that's exactly why two researchers think scientists should share their data with others well before they publish.

    I didn't read the article but this is why the scientific process involves peer review. Even the best scientists make mistakes, or have unconscious biases that may cloud their conclusions.

      We see different meanings even in this lol. Looks to me like its saying the peers themselves are taking different meanings from the same data.

        Yes that is the reason for peer review in academic writing.
