  • Fu$%ed up my hand today

Smashed my finger to shit at work between heavy ass steel parts. Pissed off. Index finger is shaped like a V. Broken/fractured....er couldnt re-set it, have to get orthopedic surgery with pins. Few stitches as well. Dont hurt too bad, didnt even fill my script of pain pills, just gonna deal with it. I'm just totally disgusted that i wont be able to train for a while. The thought of shrinking absolutely disgusts me man. All this work only to go back to average joe status :( gonna still blast legs, but goddamnit i am sick to my stomach over what i am about to degrade to over the next month or so. Fuck.

Damn.. heal up quickly! How long do you think you'll be out of commission? A few weeks at least?

Sorry to hear. Sounds and looks terribly painful. Don't focus on all that negative stuff bro. Just get yourself fixed and get back to it. Keep eating right and do what you can in the meantime. You'll be back in no time.

Just do legs, get on the treadmill and watch what you eat. You'll be back in no time.

Thanks guys! Well, hope to be back at work monday...gonna try my best anyways. Far as training tho, yeah a few weeks minimum anyhow. I'm gonna check my ego and let it heal properly before getting back into it. I wanna be that "tough guy" that says, meh im not gonna let this slow me down...but it's better to recover properly than risk prolonging it, know what i mean? I guess i'm lucky cause outside of broken knuckles from punching somebody, this is the only broken bone i've had in my 35 year lifespan :)

Hey sometimes its amazing what some good rest will do for you. On one occasion I was laid up for about 5 weeks. Similar deal, lower body only. I hit legs hard but still just 1 day a week. I mainly kept diet on serious point, did some added cardio (which is huge for me as I hate cardio), and the main thing is I rested. I'll tell you what upon coming back within a few weeks I swear I was ahead of where I left off. It was like i responded in a slingshot fashion, fell back and then catapulted forward. I hope that is the case for you too man!

Ouch man. Take it easy rest up and blast legs.
Accidents really remind us how fragile our bodies can be.

Damn dude so sorry about that hope it gets better fast. After the surgery if you can get on some HGH. It'll make the healing at least twice as fast. When I broke my hands I healed six weeks ahead of schedule.

I don't think that would stop you training. You can still use straps and cables etc.

I suppose straps could let me do light weight rows and shrugs...but as far as anything else (besides legs) i doubt ill be able to do much. Not going to be able to grip/hold bars, db's, or most cable attachments...maybe super light sets of 20 reps or something? Going to see the hand surgeon here today so I'll def ask. Main thing i dont want to happen is trying to do stuff like that when the bones are fusing back together-and re break them and drag this out longer...regardless i will def do legs every 3-4 days for sure

the irony... LOL You dont even train anymore, you eat kfc all day, and you are injury free and your telling a guy that smashed his hand to hell not to stop training.:laugh::laugh:

Oh most definitely will blast after this!lol
Going to drop to 100-200mg test a week starting now. I really needed to do this anyways bc my blood pressure has been high as fuck for the past few months-no doubt caused from my stupidly long spring/summer cycle. After the accident yesterday it was 181/90. Other times it was in the 140-160/80-90 range
