Police in Los Angeles say they've broken up a crime ring of so-called "porch pirates," thieves who sneak onto properties and steal packages left on doorsteps. It's part of a national crime wave that could get even worse during the holoiday season. Mireya Villarreal reports.

I've given thought on more than one occasion of getting a camera installed at the front door. Probably won't do it til I'm a victim myself but I like the idea. Especially while your away and wireless ly checking it out. I've also heard of one that works with the doorbell to take pictures and send notification to your phone.

UPS is good, they always knock at least. USPS sucks ass those fuckers will just leave the shit without knocking or leave a slop "sorry we missed you" without ever even making an attempt. I know why, because our local post lady is about 250lb black lady who looks like she gives zero fucks about anything.
