  • TV crapped out.

Came home this afternoon, turned the tv on and no picture. It comes on, I can change the input mode, volume and stuff but no picture. So I'm on my way to pick up a new tv.
Went earlier to Best Buy looked at some but since I wasn't prepared I figured I'd go back home, do a little r search and go back. But...research doesn't mean shit when all of them are so new to the market and pretty much exactly the same.
So what do you guys think? I'm leaning towards the Sony because it has their latest processor in it and is their mirrorless cameras are any indication it would have a crazy good picture plus it upscales everything to 4K.

So which one would you guys go with?

    Sony.

Sony 55" Class 54.6" Diag. LED 2160p Smart 3D 4K Ultra HD TV Black XBR55X850C - Best Buy

    Samsung.

Samsung 55" Class 54.6" Diag. 2160p Smart 4K Ultra HD TV Black UN55JS7000FXZA - Best Buy

And of course you have throw Visio to the mix just because it's cheap and it had very good picture.

VIZIO MSeries 55" Class 55" Diag. LED 2160p Smart 4K Ultra HD TV Gray M55-C2 - Best Buy

"Research don't mean shit" thus the reason your tv is broke after a few years. Lmao.

I'd go with the viseo because its cheap but also because it gets really good reviews.

Sony makes the best of the best in terms of picture quality but is it worth a grand more for a slightly better picture under a microscope, I don't think so.

Research doesn't mean shit because the toshiba I have was the the best tv they ever made. That was their slogan on their website at the time and that was only three and a half years ago.

All this shit is full of plastic which craps out with heat after a few years. It's like a disposable water bottle. Lol.

Your definition of research is the sales pitch the company gives its own product. Lol. What a Dildo.

My LG is from 2008 and has moved from Jersey to Chicago to Cali and still going strong.

Pay attention and do the right thing when you buy a product... Ask uncle Bouncer first. :D

If money is no object go with the Sony, you can't go wrong there. It's a Mercedes.

BUT. The vizeo will be almost as good for probably half the price. I'd go with the vizeo for sure. It's an Infinity.

Ended up getting the Vizio. It was cheap, picture was great and If I feel like replacing it in a couple of years because something new came out, I won't feel bad about it.

Vizio is $850 and Sony is $1500. Savings of almost 700 bucks because of more tax on $1500.

And the Sony is in no way worth that much more.

Dunno blm, Vizio picture is great but the Sony was spectacular. But by the time we get true 4K broadcasting and movies it's not worth spending the money for the occasional usage.

I'm sure it was. If you spend the time tweaking your settings on Vizio you should have an equally spectacular picture. That's the biggest difference I've seen; out of the box the higher end sets need less tweaking.

yea beast wont tweak anything. he will leave it at vivid setting and that's that. manufacturer knows best blm. lol.

beast, your right on one thing. 4k content is years away. you'll be able to fine a few things online but it won't be the standard for 5-10 years minimum.

Get a disc like the Disney World of Wonder disc and use it to set up the TV. Best thing you can do short of getting a pro to bring in his equipment and do a full setup.
