Waze saved my ass today!

Moral of the story: Always run Waze! :D

Was heading to work and just getting on to the freeway when Waze alerted me of police ahead - you can hear the Waze alert at 0:10. For the first time, the cops were using laser in my area pn the west side of Portland. My RD of course will detect laser but it is not going to give any time to react. They cops were barely a couple of hundred feet from where my RD went off at 0:47 on the video - I would have been a goner but for Waze as I usually do about 75 in this stretch of freeway (55 PSL).

Usually for cops, my radar detector sniffs them out, as cops have only been using radar in my area, not laser. For the first, time, I have seen laser. I'm in trouble lol...

I've found that cops out here are different compared to back east. I don't know if its the whole car culture thing out here or what but from my 5 month experience out here, you really gotta be flying to even get a look from a cop.
