Zinc nasal medication to shorten the lduration of a cold.

Well...it's that lovely time of the year for colds to be passed around. Grrrrrrr! My daughter started 2 days ago and stayed home today with an awful cold. I'm starting with it now too. Today I picked up some nasal spray that's supposed to shorten the length and severity of the common cold, main ingredient is zinc. Has anyone else tried it and if so, do you think it helped?

Never heard of that before..I just drink OJ by the gallon, and use Zithromax, the 5 day version of Amoxocillan

The name of this stuff is Zicam, No-drip liquid nasal gel.

Not sure yet but this stuff seems to be working. My daughter was feeling a little better this morning and could swallow more easilly (she ate a big breakfast) and I'm not getting any worse. :)

Thanks. :) I'm gonna go soak in the hot tub...the steam and a cough drop will feel really good right now.
