  • Former Stig names Ford Mustang the best stunt car [w/video]

I test drove the 2.3l four cylinder last week and I loved it. Car was very comfortable and that little 310hp four cylinder hauled ass.
As soon as my Audi lease is up I'm getting one.

      A 2.3L 4 cylinder is a colt, not a mustang.

Lol. You sound like one of those old geezers that never caught up with times.

Bring all of your factory stock Mustang GTs with big V8s from the first model until 2010 and watch them get murdered by that little four banger, straight line or on track. :nutkick:

Famous 5.0 from 90's only put out 200hp. Mid 2000 4.6 could only churn out 260 even before the current V8 gt was putting out same HP as the 2.3l. So go ahead.,,tell me again how it is not a mustang. Lol.

I think it's hard for people to get rid of preconceived notions they've lived with their whole lives. Same thing goes for a stick shift. The fact is, it's not better or more efficient in any way compared to shifters on the wheel. It takes time for people to adjust and come over to the other side.

Amazing the power they are getting out of such little engines these days.

Yup completely agreed but something about that V8 roar that every time you put your foot in.

Because of that sound I get about 4mpg on my expedition. It just gives me a hard on every time I stump that gas pedal. Lol.

Yeah, I know new autos are great yada yada, but there's something about a stick that I can't resist. I'll always drive one until they don't make them any more.

its certainly a better sound than an electric high pitch whistle engine. :D

yea that's what I mean. it's what you grew up with. show someone a stick shift for the first time after driving with wheel shifters for 30 years and they will find the stick to be completely clunky and uncomfortable.

Scrum lets just say shift levers are like steak and the stick is like smoke flavored tofu. Tofu might be good but steak is better.

Well, at least you won't be destroying the environment and killing baby polar bears when you get rid of that dirty Audi. :D
