It looks like forest Griffin vs Anderson silva

Haha, not quite but I understand the comparison. THAT was a truly embarrassing moment. Silva didn't even have to raise his hands for defense. Poor Forrest was so defeated he ran out of the octagon. Lol

Holly had a smart game plan and she stuck to it. Perfectly.

Rousey reportedly is being kept in the hospital for plastic surgery to her lip.

A hard fist to the face is just like life. You could have the best game plan, focus, and confidence but then that crushing fist of reality hits you and it all falls apart.

It was the bit where she swung missed and fell over that did it for me. Also makes me wonder if a real life prime boxer entered the men's division what would happen with take down defence

Aside from the fact she took Holly for granted. I think this answers the question many have asked her "how do you balance your UFC career and training and all your PR commitments, celebrity cameos, etc". You don't! It obviously affected her training.

her comment before the fight "i will retire undefeated". hahaha.

from the moment she wouldn't touch gloves I was hoping she would get beat.

She just got owned like never before. She also faced(for the first time)IMO a true warrior. She's a world champ in boxing, enough said. Look at the fight, those jabs looked powerful. She kept her at a distance; which no one has been able to do so. Every time she would try and get close, she would push away and keep distance from Rhonda which is IMO what made her win.

i know next to nothing about fighting strategy, but why didn't Rousey not go more aggressively for a takedown? I didn't watch the whole fight, just the highlights, but it seems like she was trying to go toe to toe with a boxing champion. In other words, she was playing to her opponents' strength instead of her own.

Why is nobody talking about Holly's ass? Lol. I lost focus of the fight a few times watching that thing bounce around.

I would also add that aside from Holly being a great striker she also seemed more than a match in terms of strength. Her delts and arms were bigger and harder then ronda. Holly was faster, stronger, and most importantly smarter in this fight.

I was going to say the same thing. For all the hype in ESPN and so on about Rousey's training, etc. etc., she looks pretty pudgy.

i agree with you that she bought into her own hype and all that but how does someone as good as she is supposed to be look so sloppy and amateurish in her craft?
This sums it up. I dont know if she reached the point where she felt like she didnt need to continue to work and train hard or what but she looked terrible from the opening of the fight. Out of shape, awkward, even clumsy & amateurish.
I dont want to take away from HH performance at all, in fact maybe it was her skill and strategy that made Rousey look so bad but I can help but think that Rousey was so cocky she didnt prepare properly and took something for granted and paid the price big time.
The biggest thing that shows me she didnt work hard leading into the fight was conditioning. I forget who said it but one of the big time mma guys said one time that conditioning is the one thing you have total control over and it should always be on point. That is very true, someone can out skill you in certain areas etc but you are totally in control of your conditioning and it should always be there and it def was not for her. That shows me she didnt work or prepare hard enough for this fight.
The other thing is maybe Holly is just that much better than her. This is the first time Rousey has faced a world class striker and man she paid dearly.

Great point and you know what I really think she was so full of herself that she felt she would be able to outbox a true boxer only to discover she cant. Her ego was so big she wanted to prove she could beat Holm at her own game, man was she wrong.
