According to this article, Rhonda was pretty fucked up from one of the first good hits to the mouth and never recovered. pretty good read..

Would Ronda retire? Rousey says she'll either beat Holm or 'I'll be done with everything'

The only way she will beat holms is with a boring ass ground fight that will either be quick or long but either way boring. There is no chance in hell Rhounda will go toe to toe with Holms again.

I read the ESPN article. It's a well written article but Rousey still doesn't get it. The whole article was surreal and a melodramatic mess.

Rousey still is under the influence of the Rousey koolaid. The entire article was basically a "I can't believe I got beaten. This feels like a bad dream. I hope I wake up soon." Hardly any mention of Holm and how well she did.

Look, you got beat. Happens all the time in sports. Two weeks later, you are still on your couch, eating Haagen Dazs in days-old clothes? Get the hell up and move on. People are defined not by whether they get knocked down but by how they pick themselves up off the ground.

It really sounded like she needs a psychologist more than a doctor.

Long way down from the top. That sudden stop at the bottom can hurt like hell. She definitely needs better people around her and a new approach with her attitude. The invincibility act is up. She really does have a hard time giving Holm credit for a stellar performance.

"Venice’s Rousey told ESPN she was “out on my feet from the very beginning,” after sustaining a cut lip on a first-round punch from Holm that also knocked some of her teeth loose. The injury still has her hesitant to try to eat anything like an apple.

“I wasn’t thinking clearly,” Rousey told ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne. “I had that huge cut in my mouth, and I just spit [the blood] out at my feet. Then they brought the bucket over, and I’m like,*‘Why didn’t I spit it in the bucket?’ I never spit on the ground.

“It was like a dumbed-down, dreamy version of yourself making decisions. ... I was just trying to shake myself out of it. I kept saying to myself, ‘You’re OK, keep fighting. You’re OK, keep fighting.’

“I just feel so embarrassed. How I fought after that is such an embarrassing representation of myself. I wasn’t even … there.”

Was it not Tyson who said "everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth?" She literally described in length his exact quote. lmao

Of all the famous quotations Mike Tyson has spawned over the past quarter century, my favorite is this:

"Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth."

In advance of the former heavyweight champion's appearance Saturday night at the Seminole Coconut Creek Casino, where he will perform his one-man stage show, "Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth," I asked Tyson if he remembered the origins of that quote.

"People were asking me [before a fight], 'What’s going to happen?,' " Tyson said. "They were talking about his style. 'He's going to give you a lot of lateral movement. He's going to move, he's going to dance. He's going to do this, do that.' I said, "Everybody has a plan until they get hit. Then, like a rat, they stop in fear and freeze.' "

What I like so much about the quote is that its application stretches far beyond boxing. It really has meaning in any area of life, whether the blow comes from a health issue, losing your job, making a bad investment, a traffic jam, whatever.

It's how you react to that adversity that defines you, not the adversity itself.

"Back in September, long before her devastating loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193, Ronda*won the hearts*of Marines around the world when she accepted an invitation via viral video from Jarrod Haschert*asking her to join him at the Marine Corps Ball. And despite reports earlier today that Ronda would be bailing on her promise to join Jarrod at the ball, it looks like our stunning 2015 SI Swimsuit athlete*is*in fact going to make an appearance."

lol. ahhh it's always good to take pleasure in someones downfall and misfortune. I find that it gives me a little extra zest in the morning. if however she makes a successful comeback I will promptly join the fan club and delete these comments.

I'm still a fan. She's a great fighter. She needed an attitude adjustment and got it fiercely. She's a celebrity (of sorts) and they are there for our entertainment. This is entertaining.

Her fights from here on out will be boring as fuck bro. The lesson she will take from this is go to the ground. I respect the ground game of fighters but jesus christ is it boring to watch. You will never again see an exciting Ronda fight. Remember I said it.
