I like dogs but I love my freedom. When you have a dog you can't go anywhere and do anything without having to plan pee hours or sitters for the dogs.
I have two clients that travel all the the time so between the two of them I take care three dogs and that right there scratches my itch for owning a dog. :grin:

That's true for a multiple day event like a vacation but untrue for something like a day trip. I wouldn't do it often but I can take my dogs out for a 15 minute walk at 9am and go to Napa for the day and they can easily hold it until 9pm.

But that's a rare event as I love my dogs and I love to go on trips with them. Beast you enjoy mountain biking and stuff like that, I'd take my dogs instead of a bike. So I don't see it as any kind of loss of freedom.
