  • Going to NYC

So we fly out Thursday and c/b Monday. Going to see the tree, lights, her family, etc....I plan on eating out all the time:grin:, like a kid at toys r us.

We're staying at the westin in NYT square. It's been a few years since visiting and I want to plan out some good restaurants, diners, etc...suggestions anyone of good food eating? I know finding a good place to eat is next to easy.

1st tip-don't stay in Times Square.

Ma Pache was a great dining experience.

I always like stopping in Bobby Van's steakhouse. I have been going there since I was a kid, but there are plenty of amazing steakhouses in NYC.

I had an amazing lobster spaghetti at Esca.

Well the suite is booked for us, and it was my choice to be there. I know, I was told otherwise already. Just saw some of those menus, good stuff man thanks.

Duly noted sir. I'll be posting tons of pics. I really want to see many things in NYC. I know it's just NY, I get it. But it also has so much history and good eating as well. Next little mini trip will be to my chi town for a week to see my family.

So much for Puerto Rico

I'm hesitant about flying, and also because I can't bring my piece with me and I'm certainly not checking in bags. Too late to cancel flight and drive. Not gonna waste that money on the flight but would make me feel better having my piece on the trip

I don't see any sense in flying if the driving time is less than 5 hours. By the time you fight traffic, park your car, take the shuttle to the terminal, go through security and wait to board your flight and then do them in reverse at the other end, it will be more than 5 hours.

And get arrested in NYC? No thanks.

Just go and enjoy the trip. You wouldn't be able to carry "your piece" if you drove.

no traffic, someone is taking us, ...the other stuff is minimal

It takes 15mns tops to get to logan
The drive from my place is 3.5hrs. Just wanted to take direct flight there and be done with it. I didn't want to take my car for a few reasons and one of them being that I don't want my car fucked with. I also want to keep the miles down a bit since I'm trading it in soon.

Agreed. But if I drove, I could carry it with me. But I see your point bro, thx.

You could not legally carry it with you in NYC.

Amtrak would get you there closer and most likely faster. La Guardia and Newark are a good 30 min cab ride to the city.
