Rado I thought you traveled a lot. What's all this scared to drive, worried about your car, scared to fly talk?

it's been less these past few years and quite happy about it. I do fly my son out here and that bothers me; but it needs to be done. Flying has definitely put a tad fear in me, but it'll pass. I don't like NOT being in control of what's around me or happening. Flying is one thing that is not unDer my control, driving is though. Nothing that time can't fix for me, just temporary. I do love flying.

Rado, flying is FAR safer than driving. Not sure why you are afraid of it. You may think you are in control of your car, but pilots have far better training than any driver on the road, and planes are far enough apart that running into each other is statistically almost impossible, whereas you can be as careful as you want to be, but you are just a split second of inattention away from being hit by someone else. Your fear of flying is totally irrational.

Yup, its one reason I won't get a bike. I trust me but I'm powerless to stop some idiot in a car or truck from slamming into me. On a bike you have no chance and your trusting everyone on the road to watch out for you.

Precisely why I sold my sport bike.

Yeah a guy I work with was struck by a deer last month at 60mph. Broke 8 ribs and cracked his helmet. Lucky to be alive.
