Obama: US safe against ISIS attack - CNNPolitics.com

Lol Ripper.. what do you want him to say? If he says nothing, he's a weakling who does nothing. If he sounds strong, he's inviting attacks.

Do you know how many civilians we have killed in the ME? Do you know how many civilians our buddies the Saudis have killed in Yemen? How long have we stood by and allowed Israel to run roughshod over the rights of Palestinians? Is it any surprise that radicalized Muslims are ready to take up arms against us?

We need to face the facts guys. You sow the wind, you reap the whirlwind. Yes, ISIS is bad. Yes, AL Qaeda is bad. But they can only be successful if they have an angry and disenfranchised population to mine for recruits. You can build a wall around America so high even birds can fly over it, you can throw the 1st and 4th amendments into the trashcan, but you won't be able to stop terror incidents if we don't address the anger that leads average people to commit these acts.

The government will protect you..... False sense of security. Law enforcement will show up and give you a receipt after the home invaders break in and possible kill members of your family. If your idea of protection is 911 then you have already lost.

Solution? Say we are sorry and try to stop the cycle? Nuclear bomb the whole area and then you don't have to worry about new recruits?

AQ created by the USA. We have been meddling in the ME for far too long. We give Israel way too much money and support.

Agreed with your second paragraph, Turbo. You CANNOT bomb your way to victory over ISIS. Yet, thus seems to be the only strategy the West has.

And Rip, don't get me wrong. I think military action needs to be nuanced and coupled with real reform that helps civilians in that area. Just bombing the crap out of ISIS will only make things worse. Why can't see see this? And yet, I see bombing being the only policy we ever talk about here or in European parliaments.

I get what your saying Scrum, as I have stated before..the only thing they understand is Violence in action, the dogs need to be unleashed with no restrictions...then brought back home.
