  • I'd consider living in NYC

    True story:thumb:

NYC has put a seed in my brain to consider a move, and we'd live in the city. I have said many times I'm don't moving, but I kind of like th fact of moving every few years and experiencing new places. Made some calls on some places we took pics of and the rent isn't that bad for city living. Ranging from $3200-$4500 a month IMO is good pricing for city living.

I wouldn't move back to my hometown of chi city or Florida, but NYC is getting a deeper look on my end. Would have to figure out again on my business, but the move would be in march though, after the winter.

I'll believe it when I see it. You're a country bumpkin at heart.

If your making the same amount of $$$ as you are now but living in NYC shit's gonna get tight brother. Nothing comes with the price. So there would be car parking fees on top of that rent. (this can be thousands per year) Monthly Community fees are almost never included either and can be into the hundreds per month. Car insurance will at least double. Just a few things to think about brother. There are cool upsides to city living but you gotta consider the downsides.

I enjoyed my time in Chicago but I wouldn't do it again. That feeling of being caged in was always there for me. Anywhere you want to go involves waiting in a line. I like cities for trips and vacations now, the stress of living in one isn't worth it IMO.

You're such an idiot. Do you not think I haven't thought out the money thing? As if I'm just going to move there and not think about financial stuff? Who's to say the money I make now isn't enough for me to live there? City of Boston isn't cheap, not NYC pricing but not far off. The rent there would be $1000 or more a month, wouldn't break my pocket. But you know everything so:retard:

I do make a nice living for myself, which I'm sure you're quite aware of it. I've always have.

Ohio sucks, plain and simple. I was a wreck there, mentally, emotionally, etc....my son is great, he knows what I do and the reasons I don't live near him. He's almost 8 and understand quite a bit, so not a concern not living near him. His mother is a good mom, just can't stand her but she's a good mom and that's what matters to me. He's well taken care of and always will be. I see him on FaceTime all the time since I've gotten him an iPhone. You couldn't pay me enough to ever move or live there agin unless my sons life was dependent n it.

The hidden fees are often a surprise to people especially in a place like NYC.

I was only trying to help. Consider my feelings once in awhile..

I know bro. But to think that I haven't thought about that is stupid. I did the same here before I moved. But I get what you're saying b, I do.

Which btw most of the places we saw for rent, includes all fees except utilities. I would also get rid of my car, for now. We would live in the city, literally in NYC. Commuting wouldn't be hard at all. I just have to get use to the fact(again)of not having a car. But to be honest, this weekend not having a car and the 25 plus miles of walking we did in two days, I honestly liked that quite a bit.

Thats key. You really do not need a car if you don't need to commute out of the city. Without a car payment, insurance, parking space, and gas your saving a fucken ton of money. I didn't realize you would be willing to give up the car.

I love ya Rado (like a sister :D) but I don't understand your reasoning at all. He doesn't need you because he has a good mother? IMO It shouldn't matter where he lives or if he has a good mother, he needs you to be there for him. Again, not being disrespectful or trying to slam you in any way.

To be honest bro, and goes to show you how much you don't know me. I love my cars, always have, but I prefer to walk believe it or not. I drive because I have to do it; if I live in a city where car is not needed, I would choose that route.

I never said he didn't need me, what I meant was that his mother plays a very good role in his life and her family. That if for any reason I can't be there ATM, he will be fine. I can be there within a few hours if needed. We have an amazing relationship, we do. I understand where you're coming from bro and honestly wouldn't take it the wrong way. We've known each other long enough to respect our kids and fam:grin:you're still a homo but you're good in my books pumpkin:P
