  • Hamstring pull minor or major?

I was doing some deadlifts 600lbs x 8 reps. In the middle of it and felt like my leg cramped or pull. It didn't hurt a lot but its def. sore. I can walk ok just some discomfort. what should I do? Ice/heat and see a doc? Anyone else ever have something like this?

Strong lift bro! Hopefully nothing tore. After watching that bicep tear compilation video bouncer posted I'd be scared of a torn hammy but I bet you'll be fine.

Hammy injuries take forever to heal. Hope it is nothing major - give it a couple of days to see how you feel. If it doesn't get better, go see a doc, although unless you have actually torn something, not sure if they will do anything. Give it time to heal.

                How is it today JT?

I'd expect some bruising to appear within a week around the back of the knee

If it's bruised after that, you tore it...otherwise it's just a healing process, been there done that on the hammy

^well when people talk of a pull they generally mean mild tear as opposed to severe

Three days rest then movement. Very soft like gentle cycling to almost full extention. Gets the blood there without much flexion but ensures length stays and mobility. Keep the protein and gear in. Your in recovery from breakdown that's what they're for. Hydrate well send maybe some tumeric

Might take a few days to bruise. I dropped a heavy sharp object on my leg that didn't bruise for about 2-3 days and it ended up with a hematoma and gnarly bruise that lasted a couple months.

Feels about the same not worse. It's sore. I think the icing and antiimflamatory meds helped
                            Thanks bro
