This makes me a bit sad. People should take better care of their animals.

The reason I haven't bought a chihuahua is because I'd have to always watch it out back because there are English foxes

Bit like saying the reason I don't go to the beach is because I could drown. The reason I don't cook is because I could burn down the house..

Seems like a pessimistic/fearful/unrealistic view preventing you from enjoying something you'd love.

Here's a thought, keep your dog leashed in an area where there are lions, tigers, and bears. LoL
