Yeah, snow definitely absorbs sound and reduces reflections, which is why it gets so quiet. The reduction in human movement helps too.

They said we were going to get 3-4 inches even up until the time it was supposed to start that day. A couple hours went by from "start time" with nothing. They revised 2-3, then 1-2… we got less than a half inch lol.

Lucky you. In the city they are continuing to dig out. There no place to go with the snow and some cars are still buried.
