  • Family day

I've been insanely busy working and renovating an old home for my mother all the while trying to balance a healthy lifestyle and family life. This year has not been easy. Not in a bad way. Daily life struggles that build experience and character while testing your mettle.

Tomorrow I'm taking the day to enjoy my family and teach the wife and girls some cool life skills.

We're going to a local Preserve/archeological site. Hiking trails, native American temple mounds, wildlife and fauna. Very peaceful and beautiful place.

Going to teach them land navigation with a map and compass.

We'll make a fun day out of it taking in the historic sites and nature as well as doing some "treasure hunts" with the girls.

When out in nature be sure to look for a personal message from God..

            Old fig tree

Remnants of a chimney from the first home to occupy the area in 1866. The trails and buildings are on top of ancient Indian shell mounds.

Distant view of skyway suspension bridge through the mango grove.

The girls loved climbing this tree.

Overlook tower. From here you can see 3 different bays and the river feeding into them.
