Det/Edm Over 5.5
Although the 5.5 total bothers me the over still looks solid to me in this spot. It seems whenever these two teams get together goals are scored in bunches. They played to a 4-4 tie earlier this month and I will gladly take that again. Covers says Legace is in net for Wings and he gave up 4 to Oil in last meeting. You have the #5 vs #7 offensive scoring teams matching up with both averaging over 3 goals a game. The over is an astounding 13-4-1 in Oil's last 18 and 5 of the last 6 meetings have gone over 5.5 total.
Rangers ML -115
If the Rangers are thinking and not sunning themselves too much as they go around Florida hopefully Sather will make them realize if they can get the win tonite they have a good chance to have a 3-0 roadtrip since they play Pitt next game. Rangers are now 2-1-2 in last 5. They have the talent with Kovalev, Carter, Mess rebirth, Lindros, Rucinsky(rising star), etc and are starting to put it together of late. Florida has been outshot past two games but has managed to win both. That will catch up with them vs Rangers tonite. Panthers also have not tallied more than 30 shots in a game in 9 straight.
Dallas ML +100
Dallas is starting to clamp down defensively of late and only allowed 5 SOG in last period of last game vs Yotes and have only allowed 5 goals in last 3 games. That should match up well vs defensive minded Wild whom Stars beat earlier this year Wild are coming off their longest break so far this year and may be rusty. Wild have been outshot 5 of their past 6 games and are not scoring as well. Throw out the Pitt game and they only have 5 goals in past 6 games. Stars PP may be heating up too as they got 3PP goals in last game vs Yotes. Stars are a nice play in this spot on the ML for even money.
Hawks/SJ Over 5 -110
9 of the past 10 meetings have hit or gone over the 5 goal total and both starting goalies tonite hovering just above 90% save mark. Both teams come into this game well rested.
Devs/Ducks O 4.5
Brodeur could making a B2B road start. Last year in his first road B2B start he gave up 3 to FLA. Maybe tonite the effort level may not be there for Brodeur a natural instinct considering team has gone unbeaten in last 12 and may be a bit tired. If the callup starts all the better. Another reason I like the over is becuase these teams know each other well after last year's playoff matchup and there will be some hitting and penalties and intense play. Also Ducks have had 5 days off to prepare for this one.
