Together | A Polyamorist View of Monogamy

  • #2
I skimmed it. Seems like a creepy swinger article or some shit. Agree with the basic point though.

The bottom line is that marriage is a human concept that nature doesn't acknowledge. It's a bit like a state border in this regard, sounds funny I know but just think about it. To a human a state border line is a real and meaningful thing. The reality though is that it's absolutely imaginary. A bird flying from Nevada to California will notice nothing at all the moment they cross that imaginary line. Religion is another imaginary concept that nature laughs at. The human mind is a funny thing, brilliant yet ridiculous at the same time.

So many marriages fail because we think we are above nature. We think the rules don't apply. This is incorrect. We are nothing more than a high functioning ape.

To me it's just an honest reflection, it doesn't mean marriage or monogamy isn't healthy or happy just that it takes work.

No fucking way could I be with someone that was polygamous
