Always interesting to me when on the one hand you can have a brilliant man who excels in certain aspects of life and on the other hand seems to have zero ability to even function in other aspects.

Look, antisemitism has historically been a big problem and we should all reject it wherever it occurs. I get that.

However, Israel is hiding behind antisemitism and perpetrating horrible crimes against the Palestinians. Every time somebody accuses Israel of human rights violations, they play the antisemitism card. As if nobody can criticize them because they can do no wrong, since Jews have suffered through millenia of discrimination and the Holocaust. That is just plain bullshit.

What Israel is doing in the occupied territories is cruel, inhumane and an outright human rights violation. The only reason they are able to get away with it is because we, the United States, provide them the unquestioned blanket of protection under which they can do it. We provide money, arms and protection in the Security Council.

What needs to happen is for the world to call Israel out on this and not allow them to keep conflating anti-Israeli viewpoints with antisemitism. They are not the same, despite Israel's efforts to make them equivalent.

More importantly, from a purely selfish point, the US's blanket support of Israel is the BIGGEST reason why EVERYBODY in the Middle East hates us. Because we are not a honest broker of peace in the area. We have the power to make Israel come to heel but we choose not to use it.

You want to shut down terrorism? Here is my 3 point plan:

1. Kick Israel's ass. Cut off all their aid and give them an ultimatum to give the Palestinians their territories based on the 1947 UN accords. No ifs, ands or buts. That right there will restore our standing in the ME as being honest.

2. Make peace with Iran. Iran is an important stabilizer in the ME and has been for thousands of years. You can't ignore them. You can't marginalize them. They needs a prominent seat at the table.

3. Stop interfering in ME countries and supporting BS regimes in the Middle East. Like Saudi Arabia. What the Saudis are doing in Yemen is unacceptable. They are engaging in indiscriminate bombing and killing and the world is looking away.

If we did these things, the terrorism threat will disappear. Nobody there wants to travel thousands of miles to attack us if we are not screwing around over there.

What saddens me is how little we learn and how fast the rescued bullied have become the bully.

At this point the minute anyone mentions holocaust, I switch over.

I know Jewish people aren't Israel but I just can't stand the duplicity.

In the 15 years to 2015, about 130 Israeli children have died in the conflict, over 2000 Palestinian children have been killed in the same period, and there's evidence of the use of white phosphorous bombs and all sorts.

Whenever and Israeli bombardment starts; hospitals, schools nowhere is safe and it's always a good while of seeing it on social media before it starts appearing on the BBC or other mainstream tv.

So what you are saying is that Israel would wilfully hang on to stolen land and would rather use nuclear power against civilians (make no mistake, tactical nukes against armies is bullshit in a densely populated area like the Palestinian territories) than to abide by UN resolutions, something that every member country has signed up to do.

Let's see - we impose sanctions against "rogue" nations that do not follow international norms and accords. We did it to Iran, we do it to North Korea. Exactly how is Israel different from these countries that we decided are not following international law? Are we ready to impose sanctions on Israel for not abilding by UN resolutions? Of course not, we are not going to do anything like that against a country that shares our "Judeo-Christian" values now, are we?

Now you see why countries in the Middle East can't stand us, why they feel compelled to attack us in any way possible which, given the military might of the West, invariably involves unconventional warfare and what we call terrorism.

If funding support was stopped to Isreal or threatened to be stopped. They would listen.

The difficulty is whether the Whitehouse is now under Israeli control one way or another.

I can already see new propaganda being hatched. Syria refugees are to be placed in Palestine, its an oppressed pressure pot already, tales will be created of ISIS infiltration, the yarn will be hyped, a skirmish will be created, Perhaps Isreal will cut off water and utilities until Palestinians throw a rocket into the IDF forcefield and there you have the propaganda piece de resistance "ISIS attacks Israel from Gaza "

Enter the IDF as the painted saviours and that's the end of Palestine which now becomes under full occupation.

More Land stolen, ethnically cleansed and we get the terror backlash while funding Israels expansion, if you speak out against it, your branded anti semitic and reminded of the Holocaust
