I don’t notice it at all in portrait mode. It is more noticeable in landscape, but I never use my phone in that orintarion.

Just got off the phone with the LG rep and convinced him that he needs to fix my phone for free. So, I am mailing it out and hopefully, it will be back in a couple of weeks, fixed.

I had swapped it for a new one because of the drastic decline and it happened again. I ended up switching back to iOS and got the 8+ and I get a solid 1.5 days use. Today, I’ve been streaming to an audio system, using my phone as a hot spot intermittently and checking work emails since about 11a and I’m at 63%.

I have a better experience with battery with Apple devices but I enjoy the Android range of functionality. The other reason why I stick with iOS is because every work app I need works better on iOS than it did on Android.

    I agree.

I consider Android to be a pocket computer and iOS to be a smartphone.

I know you have mentioned using swappa before. How do you guard against receiving a phone with shitty battery performance?
I used the 6 s plus daily for 2 years. I noticed battery degredation, but nothing horrible. I got a great 2 years out of it.

I know they don't sell the 3t anymore. They might still sell the 5. Price jumped quite a bit in the last year. I only paid $380 new for my 3t.

B, I'm not going to pay a grand for a phone. I'm not even going to pay $500. It's just not worth it to me.

I called Nexus and they said that my phone was out of warranty and I should contact LG for repairs. I read online that after a certain date, they don't give you the phones anymore. Maybe I will call back and see if I can get a different rep on the phone and chew them out for what is obviously a normal statistical failure, but rather, a defect that is outside of normal. Not sure it if will fly, but it sucks that LGs shitty manufacturing is now my problem.

Edit: Just looked at the OnePlus 3T. Too expensive for me. Cheapest I have seen is over $400. I've set myself a limit of $200, maybe $250 max.
Buy gently used from swappa.com. I’ve never had a problem. iPhone6s should be attainable for $250. Apple will replace the battery for $29 during 2018. You should get at least 3-4 years out of it.

And I’m typing this on an iPhone 6s Plus with a note 8 on the table in front of me. I’m debating selling the note and going to go get the X. iMessage is just that amazing for sharing video. (And I know that I have a problem).
