The New and Improved Hendo Hoverboard Looks Fun As Hell

How does a hover board work

  • #2
First thing you need to know is that the name is BS marketing. They don't hover at all. A name of "self balancing board" would be more fitting. It counters your weight and keeps you upright (for the most part) without falling.

No actual hovering by definition is done with a "hovering" board. Thus once again, the world has fallen for marketing horse shit.

Yeah, everything that you can go and buy today that says hoverboard is a motorized skateboard. I did see video of a REAL hoverboard that actually levitates you into the air but I think it was tens of thousands of dollars and more like a prototype and not available in the market.

Yeah, you're right. Lots of videos of it on Youtube.

          Here's one:

Only problem with the Lexus style one is the surface it rides on must be magnetic for it to work. Not practical but still neat to watch.

The link Mr. I posted is a hover board and not the fire hazard cheap Segway thing.

Magnetics or a pocket of air are the two popular options at the moment.

The one posted is cool, but requires a special copper surface to work correctly.
