I've got one - new members joining a fitness site and talking about everything other than lifting, nutrition, etc. :hibb:

Yeah because talking about video games, new cell phones and "weird dick issues" is all about lifting and fitness.....lol

But seriously things like what Scrum just did is a perfect example of a way to keep a board from growing. I mean its the general section where people are encouraged to talk about whatever they like. And a person gets flamed for trying to start up a conversation?? I'm not trying to come across rude here but I've always had respect for Bouncer and his board. The object is to get more then the same 5 maybe 6 people posting back and forth to each other.

And Scrum as a member of the Staff should promote that and the overall success of the board. Just my take, it was said with nothing but respect. If I overstepped my boundaries feel free to delete it and I apologize...

I do agree and understand your point Frank.

BUT, in Scrums defense we have had a lot of this type of spam. What people do is they post something seemingly normal and then they come back days later and edit the original post with spam links. It's pretty smart, it doesn't bump the post so it doesn't catch the attention of the staff so it doesn't get deleted.

I'm 99.9% sure this is the intention of this new member.

I understand that. Again I wasn't trying to be disrespectful towards anybody.

Lol come on guys, I'm not preventing anybody from posting anything, but the guy joins and look at the threads he starts or bumps up. If his first few posts are about his stats, his routine, his diet, etc and then he posts in GC, then cool. It's just odd that he dredges up these strange threads and topics to get started.

I'm still waiting on Scrum to admit that the Govt was wrong about their nutrition guidelines and that the food pyramid should be inverted. Maybe I can get his attention in here.
