Asshole just walks away with the pit? If I were the chowchow owner, I'd be coming after the guy with a lawsuit.

The danger rip is that the dog goes after you.

But I agree with both of you. The whole thing is fucked up. Dog deserved to be shot IMO.

                it's definitely a trait.

when i take her for walks and she see's a squirrel or a bird 700 miles away across a river and up a tree, she will not stop until she's had a chance to try and catch it. you can try and make her sit and relax or distract her with a treat etc.. not having it. iv'e never seen focus like these dogs have. she's a great dog, i love her to death, smart as a dog can be and very sweet. BUT she has a side to her that I can see being dangerous if she's not kept under strict control. i have no doubt that she has a clear image in her head about what she wants to do to that squirrel or bird if she ever catches it. any dog will chase something but her intensity and determination is very different from any other breed I've owned. you really have to see it in person. it's impressive and a bit scary I'll be honest.

luckily, so far she's not shown any dog aggression or people aggression. she just wants to play with everyone. hopefully that is just her character but it could just be that she's only 10 months. my french mastiff showed 0 guarding instinct until she hit 2 years old and suddenly she was patrolling the yard like she was getting paid for it. lol

That one Clip was insane with the pool of blood on the ground from that dude! I simply can not believe that after the dogs were away nobody tried to help him! Dude was bleeding to death and the fuckers are sitting there with their cellphones out recording instead of trying to stop his bleeding. It's one thing to be scratched up but that dude was sitting in a massive blood puddle.

With a pit you need what's called a "break stick". You stick it between the gap between the back teeth and twist. Of course there's always the chance it opens up and latches back on.

Pepper spray in nose and eyes would probably do it also.

What about a fake bite grip with your hand and pin it to the floor with your knees

I think it's easier said than done. The agility and strength of these dogs really has to be seen to be believed. Best non lethal bet IMO is police strength pepper spray in nose and eyes. Doesn't hurt them but will take some of the fight out of them.

Staffordshire Bull Terrier is a pitbull in a smaller package.
