I just found out the sad news only minutes ago, My best friend died last night. You all know him as Gearedup! I'm devastated, very deeply hurt and also, part of me is angry with him. I'm not sure what to say.. what do you say when one of your best friends dies in the prime of his life. I've actually never met the guy in person.. But we were a kindred spirit.. Now part of me is gone along with him. Maybe you guys can relate to this, maybe not. Sometimes you meet someone, on the phone, in person or on the net.. There is something about them that just "Clicks". Well I met gearedup a few years back and at the time we never actually spoke, but we had a mutual respect for each other. I think I had a greater respect for him. He is one the guys I tried to emulate. His board presence was and is unsurpassed. In life you take little pieces of "good" in others in an attempt to make yourself a better person. He has been both a mentor and a great friend to me. Then we began talking through PM's and such and from the very first one.. we both knew that we were destined to be friends. I've lost a dear friend and I'm not sure how to deal with this right now... I'm lost at the moment and I would hope that you all will take time to say a prayer or two for both Geared and his family and friends.. True friends are very hard to come by these days and we all just lost one of the greastest. I will post more when I can get a handle on this..
