bro i come from areas where it's common to have literally 95% humidity in the summer. let me tell you. 85 degrees with 95% humidity is far more uncomfortable than 100 degrees with 10% humidity. In jersey or Chicago you literally cannot open your windows in your house from June-Sept because even if it's 75 out the humidity level means it's sticky and uncomfortable. back east I would be literally drenched in sweat all summer. people that have spent most of their lives out here really have no idea. go ride your bike all day on an August day in Chicago or Jersey and you will be crying for california.
here, even in mid July I can have my windows open up until about 1pm and then open them back up about 10pm. People just don't get how much nicer the weather is in Cali. Air temperature is 1 factor but the humidity factor is the real difference between feeling comfortable and extremely uncomfortable.
But yes, standing in the sun in Norcal in mid summer at 2pm is not the most comfortable thing in the world, I will give you that. i believe I almost died 7 times last summer. :D
