6 hour flight from Cali. Same distance as a flight from Cali to NYC.

I've known people who have lived there. The problem is to go anywhere it takes a plane or a boat. Imagine living anywhere you really like but rarely getting to leave a 30-60 minute radius.

Not to play the role of turbo the negative :D but I keep hearing about a really bad homeless problem there. Also really high cost of things we take for granted on the main land.

Went there for vacation once. Mainland is nothing really special but Maui is heaven. And yes shit costs a ton. Even simple things like toilet paper etc.

Yeah its like that on all the small islands, if been asked about jobs on cayman, Bermuda etc and if the bermuda one is like $100,000 it's not that great when you consider living costs
