  • Mr I Sleeping Issues

    You say all is well bro and you're on the mend but I'm concerned with late nights I've seen you having lately. I've seen you up as late as 7-8pm Cali time which by my math comes out to 3-4am london time.

    Is this a mid-life crisis? Side effect of your PED abuse? Lets talk turkey brosky. :D

    Allow me to recommend 100mg Diphenhydramine 30 minutes before you wish to sleep.

    No its the meds

    I'm told to stay on them until the docs tell me to stop.

    My back is good now (nearly 4 weeks post op), but when I bring meds right down, and I'm not taking lots, I wake with shooting pains down the shin.

    So basically what happens is I take my evening dose and often fall asleep quick. But then wake up four hours later. Don't know why, but I'm wide awake. Do I have a browse on interwebz for a while and usually drift off.

    I just roll with it as I'm healing. But I don't want to get into taking sleeping meds too. Even natural stuff as it may intetact

        Lol, I've two choices;
        1) Go without meds and wake up with shin pain
        2) take the meds go deep sleep and wake up in four hours and then maybe go back to sleep.

        Having tried (1), I prefer (2) but also don't really like being on meds of this kind.

        I'm fine but appreciate the concern.

          Is the shin pain supposed to go away at some point?

            Yes

            It's to do with the nerve damage but I have ordered a night splint which may help hold a foot position less painful than its natural inclination right now.

            Otherwise I just keep trying now and then to go without meds to see what happens.

            But im generally leagues better since surgery so I'm happy
