99% of Sailors I have ever talked to embellish their career in the Navy. Im not being sarcastic either. I don't think I ever ran into a guy that served in the Navy that wasn't a "Seal"....lol It's seems to always come out right after they find out I was in the Marines, never fails.

So I'm not surprised at all by a Navy Seal embellishing how many kills he has or who he's knocked out.

It is actually surprising that a Seal would embellish or even talk freely about such things. The "elite" groups are usually very guarded and quiet about their service.

I think that's more of what they want to portray. "The elite strong and silent" type. But let's face it. There are elite athletes, elite business people, elite politicians. Some are humble and some are assholes.

I'd bet it's almost impossible for a seal to live up to the standard people have set in their minds for what they should be. Basically Capt America ability and morals. If they are anything less than absolutely perfect people will be disappointed.

From what im reading his DD form 214 stated 2 silvers and 5 bronze stars... that's your official report card if you will...now personnel may have lost or mishandled awards. Also the DD form 214 could have been mistyped. shit happens.. You have to remember you have privates acting as clerks in the S-1 offices. they can fuck shit up easy. He knows what he earned what ever it was.

Ive had some "battles" if you will with award clerks over my soldiers awards when I was trying to ensure they got what they earned. Those office poges hate seeing guys out on the front lines getting shit when they earn it..while they type away in safety wondering why they aren't recognized for anything.

This is the same guy who also made up a bullshit story about how he was on the roof of the Superdome after Katrina with a sniper rifle and picked off 30 looters. Nobody, LE, ambulance operators, trauma center, morgues, can validate this. Set aside the sheer monstrosity of going sniper on other Americans, REGARDLESS of whether they were law-abiding or not.

Look, by all accounts, he was a brave soldier, and I hate to speak ill of the dead, but between his self aggrandizing books and his embellishments and his BS civilian stories, he seems like a grade A POS.
